“Thriller” dancers from World Dance for Humanity have been bringing their zombie flashmobs to First Thursday on State Street, the Avocado Festival in Carpinteria and coming up this weekend at Boo at the Zoo — all leading up to the main event Thrill the World, Saturday, Oct. 25 at the Courthouse Sunken Gardens in Santa Barbara.
Community members are invited to wear fun, funny or scary costumes and join the frightful festivities that open with a 2 p.m. dance party, followed by Thrill the World at 3 p.m. sharp when Santa Barbara participants will join people all over the world performing the iconic “Thriller” dance.
Thriller is hosted in Santa Barbara by World Dance for Humanity, a nonprofit that turns dance into humanitarian aid by using donations to help genocide survivors in Rwanda build new lives; provide direct aid to Ukraine; and and support theWestside Boys & Girls Club.
