Chaucer’s Books will host author and filmmaker Sky Bergman in a discussion of “Lives Well Lived — GENERATIONS,” 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19 at 3321 State St., Santa Barbara.
“Lives Well Lived-GENERATIONS” celebrates the resilience and joy of 40 older adults with 3,000 years of life experience.
Inspired by Bergman’s PBS documentary, the book highlights intergenerational connections, finding purpose, and thriving through life’s ups and downs, weaving a mosaic of shared stories and wisdom.
Bergman, professor emeritus of photography and video at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, is in her third act after a 30-year teaching career.
Her artwork is in museum collections, and her commercial work has appeared in such magazines as the Smithsonian.
Bergman’s passion is creating films and projects that inspire intergenerational connections, emphasizing the power of shared stories.
Following her successful PBS documentary “Lives Well Lived,” her book “Lives Well Lived — GENERATIONS” distills wisdom from the film, celebrating life’s essence across generations.
