The Museum of Contemporary Art Santa Barbara (MCASB) will hold its first mini-concert, featuring Los Tranquilos, a band from Nipomo, 5-6 p.m. Saturday, March 29 at Center Stage Theater, 653 Paseo Nuevo, Santa Barbara.

In addition to the concert there will be a free-to-attend mercado, 3-7 p.m., with local vendors, tamales, aguas frescas, music and Mezcal.

Los Tranquilos band lineup features Oaxaqueño/Michoacáno brother duo Manny and JJ Martinez, as well as longtime friends Cameron Porter and Richie Guereca.

Established in the summer of 2022, Los Tranquilos members have been working to create universal yet historical grooves with sounds inspired by ’60s-’70s romanticas/soul psychedelia from México and all Latin America, such as The Royal Jesters, Marvin Gaye, Los Solitarios, Thee Midniters, Rigo Tovar, Malo, Santana, and Sunny Ozuna.
