The Santa Barbara County Public Health Department reported 115 new COVID-19 cases in the three-day period since Friday.

According to the Community Data Dashboard, 43 COVID-19 cases were reported on Saturday, 49 on Sunday, and 23 on Monday.

As of Monday, eight COVID-19-positive individuals were hospitalized throughout the county, and throughout the weekend, there were no COVID-19 patients being treated in local intensive care units.

There have been no COVID-19 patients in local ICUs since April 13.

Of the 115 COVID-19 cases reported over the weekend, 32 were in Isla Vista and 23 were in the Santa Barbara area.

The Goleta Valley accounted for 20 cases, and the Santa Maria Valley logged 14 cases. The Lompoc Valley reported 12 cases and the Montecito-Summerland-Carpinteria area had seven.

The Santa Ynez Valley reported four cases and there were three cases pending geographic location.

Since the pandemic began in early 2020, the Public Health Department has reported 86,342 COVID-19 cases throughout the county and 680 deaths related to the virus.

As of Monday, there are 289 cases currently considered still infectious or “active” in the county.
