COVID-19 community-based testing is available in Lompoc. A testing site has opened at Anderson Recreation Center, 125 W. Walnut Ave. Testing is by appointment only, 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Fridays through Tuesdays.

The community-based testing, which is occurring throughout Santa Barbara County, is being provided by the county, the State of California, and OptumServe.

Everyone who is a resident of the county is eligible to apply for testing, according to the Santa Barbara County Public Health Department.

“Once screened, testing order will be prioritized for people with symptoms, such as a fever, cough, and shortness of breath. Additional prioritization will be offered to populations of higher risk, including first responders and health care professionals,” the Health Department said.
