PCPA kicks off its summer season under the stars at the Solvang Festival Theater with the return of Sara Bareilles’ hit musical “Waitress,” June 19-July 6 and a five-show run of “Holmes and Watson,” June 26-29 in the Marian Theatre.

Broadway musical “Waitress,” with songs by Grammy-winner Sara Bareilles, tells the story of Jenna, a talented baker who dreams of a better life and a fresh start.

“Holmes and Watson,” a mystery by Jeffrey Hatcher, plunges audiences into the world of the world’s greatest detective. In the fast-paced thriller, Dr. Watson is summoned to a remote asylum where three inmates all claim to be Sherlock Holmes.

The 2025 summer season continues with the musical comedy “Something Rotten!” A celebration of Shakespeare, showbiz, playing and sibling rivalry, “Something Rotten!” plays July 17-26 at the Marian Theatre, and Aug. 1-23 at Solvang Festival Theater.

Closing the 61st season will be “Songs for Nobodies,” a music-filled tribute to five legendary divas and the everyday women whose lives they touched. Runs Aug. 14-23 at Marian Theatre and Aug. 28-Sept. 7 at Solvang Festival Theater.
