Live & Love Dance Productions in Lompoc marked its 10th anniversary with two recent performances at Lompoc Civic Auditorium.

The shows celebrated the studio’s students who range in age from two years to adults. All the songs dealt with wishes and dreams to commemorate the anniversary.

Both shows opened with a performance called “10th Anniversary Dance With Miss Vanessa,” with studio owner/instructor Vanessa Hagstrom and her younger students, ages 3-13 years.

Concluding the programs was the studio’s first VIP & Me number, where performers choose a special adult in their life to dance with on the stage.

“This truly was a magical and tear-jerker moment,” Hagstrom said.

The studio also had its competition team, Heart Throbs, perform their award-winning “California Girls.” Dancers included Jacqueline Berrier, Aria Castillo, Alexa Guerrero, Nyla Morrison and Teagan Schooter.

This team has won several accolades over the season, including judges choice awards for “cutie patootie & entertainment awards,” and overall for their routine, Hagstrom said said.

While planning two shows while celebrating an anniversary milestone no small feat, Hagstrom said it was a “dream come true.”

The cumulation of her training for 31 years dancing and 22 years teaching. she said she “couldn’t be more proud of seeing her students step on the stage, give their all, smiles and passion — the hard-work, the confidence & the joy they bring to her and the audience.”

Hagstrom said she “always hopes to be a positive role model to her students and encourage them all to pursue their dreams, because she knows they really are achievable.

“I feel so humbled and fortunate to have been given the opportunity to begin my passion at age three and to be able to love and share this passion from my work, from all the lives I’ve touched … I can’t wait to continue to make a positive impact for all those who step through the studio”.

The studio is gearing up for their 11th season starting with summer classes, camps and workshops from Barbie, Taylor Swift, Mario Brothers, Bluey, Encanto, Frozen , Super Hero, Bows, Glitter & Tutus, Floor is lava to Ballet, Acro Dance, Jazz, Hip Hop, Cheer, Musical Theatre, Poms, Parent & Me, Tap, Lyrica.
