Joyce frequently collaborates with local musicians and ensembles as a keyboard accompanist and soloist.

As a teacher, he has guided private students in voice, piano, organ, and music theory, and has served as an adjunct faculty member at Santa Barbara City College and Westmont College.

Joyce is originally from Cambridge, England. His foundation in sacred music began at Washington National Cathedral, where he sang as a boy chorister and took his first organ lessons.

He earned degrees in music from Interlochen Arts Academy, Oberlin Conservatory of Music, Yale University Institute of Sacred Music, and University of Washington School of Music.
