The travel industry has experienced unprecedented disruptions due to the outbreak of COVID-19 virus.
Due to the impact the coronavirus has had on the travel industry, Santa Barbara Airbus has decided to modify their LAX shuttle service.
Samantha Onnen, their general manager, stated, “The health and safety of Santa Barbara Airbus’s customers and employees is our top priority. With new developments unfolding daily, we continue to closely monitor the situation and make operational adjustments as government officials and public health experts recommend.”
As of Thursday night, the state of California is under a stay-at-home order, so demand for shuttle service has seen a significant decline.
Friday morning Santa Barbara Airbus made the difficult decision to suspend their LAX shuttle service, effective Monday, March 23, and until further notice.
“Our business has been serving the Santa Barbara community for over 37 years, and we feel taking this measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19 to our staff, passengers and community will be beneficial at this stage” continued Ms. Onnen.
Santa Barbara Airbus plans to resume service as soon as it is considered safe to do so. Passengers can check their website for the current status of our shuttle service.
Echoing the sentiments spreading across the globe, Santa Barbara Airbus is optimistic that we will all get through this pandemic together.
