“A Legacy of Stone” tells the story of Medusa, a legend of Greek mythology, in her humble beginnings as a priestess of Athena. She finds herself falling in love with Vasilias, a man who keeps his cards close to his chest, against Athena’s counsel.

A centuries-long feud re-ignites, and Medusa is challenged with balancing devotion, autonomy and perseverance, which begs the question: Can you discover power through pain and loss?

“A Legacy of Stone” features original music and lyrics written by Cameron Hastings, Shrunken Heads’ music director , brought to life by a live orchestra made up of UCSB student musicians.

“A Legacy of Stone” contains mature themes, intense subject matter, and theatrical effects that may distress some audience members, the company said, noting “Violence, sexual assault, explicit language, and pregnancy will be depicted on stage.”

This show is not recommended for younger audiences.
