The tango musical “Volver” by Tango Lovers returns to U.S. stages this fall, including in Santa Barbara, 5 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 22 at the Lobero Theatre.
The show features renowned tango singer Guillermo Fernandez. The cast and orchestra are directed by Grammy and Latin Grammy Award winner Lautaro Greco.
Awarded as Best Show and Best Production of the Year multiple times, Tango Lovers Company made its comeback with “Volver,” which is presented by Alfredo Lerida Artistic Foundation and Copa Airlines.
“Volver” is the story of tango dancers, musicians, and singers who travel the world together with the tango genre, then return to their place of origin to transmit stories through different characters which take center stage during the show.
The show pays tribute to those places and people that marked the history of the company and its return to the stages after difficult times for humanity.
“Volver” by Tango Lovers was created by the Uruguayan singer and producer Alfredo Lerida. The show is performed by a live orchestra, dancers and singers from Argentina and Uruguay.
